It’s good to see more and more apps being added to the apps catalog. Very promising! Can’t wait for the video camera upgrade.
I wish the sprint desk top connector worked with my Pre then it would be perfect =(
FORWARD TEXTING.. AND BEING ABLE TO CHANGE SOUND FOR TEXT ALERT.. this should have been standard.. ( waaah i miss this from my palm treo)
I have been researching this hoping to see alot of positive responses, but 5 months later, nothing new on here. Same story, no new apps, no forwarding txts, etc. However, how can a company come out with a phone that has no apps to show it’s true capabilities.
To Rosie and the people bagging on the complainers, telling people to get over it because it will be great. well I hate to tell you this, but 6 months to get out apps in this changing tech world is a lifetime. There will be something newer and better come out and Sprint will have again missed the boat.
In the meantime, I need to work now, need to email now and need apps that work now. WE buy things because we want to USE them.
PANDORA warning
Stupid Pandora app doesn’t work in Canada. Would’ve been nice if they told me this BEFORE I installed it. Why would it let me download and install, but then tell me it won’t work AFTER all that.
Dumb dumb app. iPhone obviously has got it all over the Pre when it comes to app’s. I have all kinds of international app’s on my iPod touch and no problems.
Get with it Palm! I love my phone, but these types of problems are discouraging.
Can anyone help me…. Everytime I try to download an app from the official app catalog I keep getting an error message saying that I don’t have enough memory and asks me to delete an application to make room. I have plenty of room on my phone and have no problems at all downloading apps from precentral.net. Anyone have any advise for me?

The Pre needs the following:
VOICE ACTIVATED DIALING (what’s the sense of having a bluetooth when you have to fumble with the phone to dial a number while driving. I had it on my much cheaper samsung.);
video camera and additional camera settings
text message forwarding
PALM IT’S TIME TO GET ON BOARD, GET MOVING!

Yeah, and i think its a major disappointment how palm screwed up the PIM functions of the calendar & contacts programs.
I have been using my treo for the last 3 1/2 years and have held off switching to a new iphone because I wanted the same kind of organizers that I had on my treo but now that the pre is out its PIM organizers lack the things that made me want another palm. I hope you guys fix that before its too late.
I BOUGHT A PALM-PRE BUT I’M NOT HAPPY ABOUT HAVING TO PAY FOR MY APPS USING A VISA OR MASTERCARD. YOU SHOULD THINK ABOUT ACCEPTING PRE-PAID GIFT CARDS.
Ah to all he people that are complaining about palm pre you should of got on a contrct on sprint much cheaper bout 90 bucks add everything elsee 150 so happy days :] And those are two phones btw

How does everyone like the new update from last week?
I have had palm devices for 25 yrs and went to palms upgrade when it came out and always transfered data. Palm pre works with nothing. The calendar has no search and contact search dosn’t search numbers or notes. Bad Palm!
